Brenda Ann Mitchell was born January 18, 1955, in Lamesa, TX. to Richard Franklin Mitchell and Jolene Ingram Mitchell. She was a 1973 graduate of Throckmorton High School, where she loved playing basketball and tennis. She later married Richard William Stamm in Throckmorton on July 3, 1974. She also enjoyed playing the slot machines, and when she didn’t answer her phone, it was because she had slipped away with mom or friends to the Casino. Brenda was a member of the First Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed people and she never met a stranger. She worked as a Bank Teller for Woodson State Bank and with First National Bank of Throckmorton. After 34 years she retired on December 31, 2019. She had a stroke in August of 2019 that left her with the loss of some on her right side, but she never gave up and returned to work at the bank for a short while. Her Pride and joy was her son Travis and granddaughter Shelby. She loved watching them with horses, play sports, or just to hang out together. She is survived by her beloved companion, James Bundy of Throckmorton; son Travis Richard Stamm, Redvale, Co; granddaughter, Shelby Stamm ( PFC, US Army) Fort Carson, Co; brother, Kenneth Joe Mitchell and wife Fern of Throckmorton; sister, Annette Harris and husband Rusty of Albany; nieces, Denise Hudson Brian and husband Bobby of Brownwood; Kris Mitchell and wife Medora of Stamford; nephews, Klay Mitchell and wife Geneva of Throckmorton, Rob Harris of Granbury, and Clayton Stamm of Ft Worth; numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law Pamela Stamm and her daughter Amanda Pierce; and grandchildren, Coulter and Kinlee of Norwood, Co. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jolene Mitchell. To her beloved James, we can never put in words what you meant to her and how she cherished the time she spent with you. She always said, “She didn’t know what she would do without you”. If desired, memorials may be given, in Brenda’s name, to the Throckmorton Senior Citizen Center or Throckmorton Volunteer Fire Department.
